Canadian Tire Ice Truck (videos and commercial released)

My friend Andrew  (Bronson Line Auto)  was asked to build the chassis for the Worlds First drivable Ice Truck      A southern 2005 2500HD 6.0L was used (reg cab long box)

It was exciting to see it come about...   I painted the chassis black and the exhaust system aluminum and of course mounted the 10ply 18 inch BFG tires

It was keep at secret until Canadian Tire finalized the commercial...

It had seat belts and headlights and taillights

The suspension was blocked to keep it from moving   100psi in Tires

CTC  advertising hired a Stunt Driver" for driving it out the yard (and it was speeded up) in Toronto   and he was afraid it was going to catch fire  (idiot)

Andrew signed a contract for a dollar, to drive it in Hensall  (30miles north of London)

LOL     I forgot that a Ice Truck would be  "normal " for us  Canadians

The Ice Sculptures company want another chassis next year

Imagine having a Wedding or Company party and a Ice Vehicle showing up?       They can create a  Tractor  Tank  any brand Truck   etc.

Just actually saw the commercial last night for the first time..
Very witty for sure. Anyone that had a hand in putting that together should be proud.

         Thanks good looking

We are very proud of it     We thought it out... and made it happen

The actors guild "stunt driver" (union) in Toronto.... was afraid of it

Andrew drove it in Hensall on the world record attempt for $1.00  (had to sign a contract)

Did you "see" the Melt down    took 44 hours to drip to nothing  (normally they cut it apart when done filming)

CTC took possession of it     and are paying a horrendous amount to ship to Vancouver

They have a wharehouse there ,  where they store their advertising "stuff"

"We still have the cab and title to truck   winkwink

Just found photos used in "Commercial" in Toronto

3  Ice builds

1st was too test ice fit and performance (weight) in Hensall Ont

2nd was for Commercial in Toronto

3rd was for  Guinness World record attempt in Hensall      (Hensall is about 40 miles north London)

Notice the detail   the dash....the inside mirror..... the pine tree freshener made of ice  etc     and how clear ice is

The  3rd build was a combo of all the ice.....  Ice Cultures (Hensall) have their own Reefer truck to haul the special "clear" ice
