Just got the power back on about an hour ago.Great crew of very tired and very hard working guys did a great job.The generator was great kept up with the things we really needed but it is nice to be able to run the fridge, water pump and the furnice at the same time again.Turned on the lights and found the stove, brought in some of the food from outside and made a big pan of eggs and sausage.Sitting here right now enjoying a hot coffee.Funny how little you appreciate some things till they aren't there .Anyway its all good now lights water, heat. It is awfulley quiet though, the dogs are still here but I wonder when the Wife and The Boy skedaddled. Ed
We are at the end of a line so it sometimes takes longer as they have to get the most people running first and come back around for what they call the oneoffs later .Thats what is happening in Toronto so they told me,They get the blocks going first ,main lines ,then come back for the individuals when they can. Ed
Glad you're back on-grid! I know that I've been frustrated with power outages in the past, sometimes for several hours - but a few days is definitely rough, especially in the winter! Nice that you had an adequate generator to help you through it all.
