I am putting a coil spring Buick 7.5 diff under the HenrJ and am looking for spring perches for axle tubes which are 2-1/2" dia. Does anyone know where to buy spring perches and U bolts for these size tubes? How about Dodge parts? I have tried some of the on- line places like Summit but so far I only found parts for 3".

Get some 2"x4" tubing. Use a 2 1/2" hole saw and drill through the 4" side.
Now cut it in half.

Or buy them.....http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-WELD-ON-2-5-WIDE-2-5-AXLE-TUBE-LEAF-SPRING-PERCH-PADS-CNC-CUT-PAIR-/161026155611

Thanks guys. Here is one of a pair I made years ago, use to support/ jack diff. The other holder is used on an engine stand to rebuild diffs. I have the steel and the holesaws, just wanted to find some already to go. I may make a set when that project gets up on the list.

Sal you may go ahead, as if you need my OK, :)

Just to the left of the plywood is the tool I made(on a piece of fence rail) to hold the diff yoke to remove/ tighten the pinion yoke. I have a few others also.

Henry,
If you need any odd sized U bolts in the future, Tractor Supply is the place to go.

Glad they can be used. A little bit more room on my shelf in the garage.
