Stuck at the airport in Calgary because of weather in Hamilton airport and look where they are making me stay..370 a night and 3 meals included. This just doesn't happen to me. Just wish wife was here to enjoy it too. Had to share now because most likely will never happen again....sweeeet.
Yup west jet....now in having an early supper on them too. Plane leaves in 4 hours so I'm going eat and have a nap before getting on the plane.....home soon I hope.
My poor wife is stuck in Doha (Qatar for you un-edumaceted folks), and was taken by Limo to the sleezy luxury hotel Qatar Airways are forcing her to stay in till they can get her on the next first class flight.
She had to endure 12 hours in Business class, with nothing but an endless supply of Bolanger and Godiva Chocolates to live on in between silver service meals!!!
And now she's having trouble working out how the heated toilet seat works in her en-suite.
She phoned me from the hotle balcony in tears, huddled up in her egyption cotton bathrobe wondering what else fate was going to throw at her.

cheer up. things could be worse. My hubby and our 2 kids got tossed out in New York city on a Friday night at midnight of a long weekend a couple years ago.( there was a medical emergency and we missed our connecting flight) No room, No food. ect Nothing! Thanks Delta!
Nothing but someone pointing to a door saying the subway is that way. I thought Art was gonna have a stroke....the poor country boy.
We ended up having a blast. and went back at 6am and managed to get a flight to buffalo (last 4 seats available) The kids still laugh about some of the stuff we saw.

We'll here I am day 3 at the Calgary airport. As we were boarding the plane they cancelled the flight and put us up at the 4points. New flight is leaving at 8 ....maybe...guess Toronto is still down... Really starting to suck. Glad I have you guys to whine to.
Here in St. Catharines it's -20C (-4F), a bit breezy but nothing like last night, blue sky and the sun is up. No idea how the roads are because I'm not going anywhere. Hang in there, we're here for you.
Holllly crap im home...2 very nice motels, 3 days at the airport, 5 cancelled flights and $70 in food vouchers later ..im home.. Just want to say thax to you all for listening to my complaining and to west jet for treating me very well in a crappy situation. I believe in giving props to people or companies that treat me right and if you had seen all the people from other airlines that got nothing for the 3 days they had nowhere to go, you would understand this post. Their service was outstanding and would certainly fly with them again....thax again to all the members here too.
My daughter is flying Victoria/Calgary/Hamilton on Thursday. I hope all is well by then.
Westjet limoed me back to Hamilton airport. Airport was closed because runways are icy and too short for big planes in those conditions..she might end up in Toronto like I did.
