Speaking of NOT being able to fathom going from a sedan to a coupe....THATS ME! (I am having enough difficulties going from a sedan to a sedan at the moment, let alone changing the car entirely)
Forward thinking and creativity, mixed with emotion, drive and ability......this is going to be an amazing build.
Thats what my wife wants....what she will get.....is what I give her!
TOOOOOOO much tin....fenders .......skirts.....pans......hood.....NOPE!

Pretty moth eaten....dipped in 86 years of acid rain
Lean...mean....cruisin machine
I'm not so sure Glenn. Other than already being a Coupe, mine is pretty "thin" too! The pictures are only a gross representation of what I hope mine turns out like - not the real box of $h!t I brought home!

Ok, to address some of Glenns points on his build-a-thon, and to stop the build thread getting cluttered, we should discuss here, as he requested..
Flea Market Bargains....
I totally agree that it's sometimes more economical to just buy new, and I would LOVE to do that, but I can't and would actually prefer not to where possible for the following reasons:
I can't afford to splash out all that money at once
I really enjoy flea markets and swap meets, and when I buy a part, I can ask the seller all about it, and how it goes together etc etc.
This year I will have more of an idea what I'm looking at, so I'll buy less parts with just a vague idea that it might do the job.
It basically boils down to patience. I could save up for a year and buy all the parts, OR, I can buy a part a month and stitch it all together in a year. Same destination, different route

I like swap meets to And there are a lot of good guys vending . but if its something you need you should already know what your looking at and what a new one's worth. anything less and you are going to be disappointed.
