We had a 67 like that as a kid....was a buckets console car. Dad doen't remember what engine it had... Wish I could find a photo...Looking forward to seeing the finished pics ! Its a labour of love ;)
wow!, did you make that panel, or buy it like that?
Car looks great.
No the panel is a year one part. they grade their repro parts on a 1 to 5 scale with 1 being perfect NOS or reproduction panel to a 5 being in their words"a last resort reproduction". This panel is a 5 so it sort of fit and was the right shape but needed a lot of work to get it right. Panels for the 66 67 are not being repro'd like the 68 to 72 are so you take what you can get !
Car is looking good, is it going to be on the road this year?
I have had a couple of Cutlasses but never a 67. They are definitely my favorite year for body style. Can't wait to see it done. Got a color picked out.

I am hoping to have it on the road this summer. The Drive train Suspension is all done except for the driveshaft and exhaust. Right now I'm planning on Stock 67 color of Spanish Red with a black Vinyl top. (resale red) It should look something like the pic of the red one. The original color of this car was Antique Pewter
I had a 67 442 convert in the late 70s and loved it. I had a 69 Cutlass Supreme with the 310 hp 350 that was also a great car and is still one of my favorite designs. I still hope to build a 69 one day....maybe the next one. There is just something about Oldsmobiles that I feel at home with.

I built the cowl blister to clear the air induction system going on the car. I needed about another 1/2 inch so decided to go with a cowl style to let hot air out from under the hood. It is all steel.
I had the tour today. Your skill with metal makes one jealous. This is going to be one very fine Olds. The cold air induction stuff you made is superb. Despite being hand made it looked like it came from the factory and I do not exaggerate that comment. Thanks for the tour don

Thanks for the love Don. I have been dragging my feet on the Olds as there are other things to be done now that the nice weather is here. I have spent a lot of time blocking it straight and have installed the vinyl roof, rear window and new windshield.
I hope to push it out of the garage for a final wet sand and a good garage scrub then it's prep for paint time.. I have bought my new wheels and tires so will post a few pics.
Got her on Jack stands with wheels off. Removed the last few things from the shop floor and tested my ventilation. It was nice and cool but after half an hour I had a sweat on. I think I will have to wait till the heat and Humidity drop a bit but other than that ready to squirt.
I do paint at night so as not to bother the neighbors with fumes. Was ready to go last night but felt humidity was still high. Hopefully the weekend will break after rain on Sat.
Sounds like after to-day the weather should be great to paint..good luck and wear a good mask..that isocyanides in that stuff will cause major brain cell destruction..and it's not good for your health.... Curious what brand of paint..I am an RM GUY ... I like their clear..It lays down real nice ..I hate SW stuff it sprays like Molasses..and if you thin it too much it blushes ...Good luck with it, can't wait to see the pics ...
