i had a collision on the 401 in courtice 11 years ago and after that i laid of the gas pedal and stopped taking chances. i didnt cause the accident i had but if i was going slower i may have been able to avoid the clown who did cause it.
I mean. hoooooollley crap. this is the EXACT situation I found myself in, we took the 1991 M5 for a drive (after getting fresh brakes), out to Erin, back down highway 7 eventually to St. marys. somewhere around guelph a guy on a cross road didn't stop, I saw him and hit the brakes hard. First off, this thing is built for autobahn driving, so its got a big freaking set of brakes, it stopped, the guy in the SUV didn't quite get to a stop in time, it probably would have looked just like this. Its all about driving to the conditions and the vehicle. I was doing the limit, but I wonder if I was in my little VW golf our my old heavy 1976 benz would I have been able to stop at that speed.
Will have to share this one. It proves a good point. :)
