Once again this year, I will be having a just for fun NASCAR pool....no charge. I have made a NASCAR section so you can keep track of your scores.
Here are the rules
This is a free pool, just for the fun of it.
Posting the rules here, if anyone is interested....
You must pick 8 drivers spending no more than $10,000
Teams must be received by Sunday Feb 23....before the race starts.
The team you pick will be yours for the whole season, no trades once season starts
We will be scoring by the NASCAR online points. PM me or email your drivers to poncho62@yahoo.com
Any questions...just ask.
Just a pointer....Make sure that the drivers you pick will be running for the Sprint Series points. Some racers run just some of the Sprint races, but dont get points for them.
Thanks for doing this....is it done in conjunction with the big ESPN pool for clubs and individuals ?

No idea...I get the driver amounts from a small pool site........I have been running a small pool for a few of my friends for about 15 years....I started doing this one for my forum friends about 5 years agoi

this from last year winner of the pool ...........there ain t even any small chance that Dale jr will ever win the championship ......... see you at the end of the season .........
ps Dale jr would be the perfect guy to own the Toronto Maple Leafs it would be the perfect match of losers
And so it begins, this is going to be fun.I am not really a Jr. fan but I did pick him because it is time he actually did something and stopped riding on a name. Same goes for a lot of the drivers. I didn't pick Johnston because I can't see NASCAR letting him win again. He doesn't seem to have the appeal of Petty and Earnhard . NASCAR needs some real characters to liven up what to me has become a dull series. What happened to personalities like Earnie Ervin,Darrel Waltrup,Earnhard Sr. Busch was interesting and so was Stewart till corprate NASCAR took there cohonies away. Hope this year is full of surprizes, interesting personalities, lots of different winners, some close finishes and a chase that goes down to the wire with several drivers needing to win the last race to win the championship. Ed
I see Junior will now be driving the Ragu Spaghetti Sauce 88 ....lots of red apparently .
I wish they would go back to the Viagra car from several years ago , add a Sheik Condoms car , and have Danica drive a Victoria's Secret Car ( keep folks interested in the back of the field )
Ya I heard that as well .I have been a fan of the King since they used to show NASCAR for 10min between track and field and horse jumping on Wide World Of Sports on the station out of Buffalo. This is the first time I have ever heard him say anything negative about anyone.I don't think there is much room for his comments given his teams record the last 10yrs. ED
The media knows that guys that shoot from the hip can't help themselves. They target guys like the King and form the question in such a way that they answer it honestly and they can't help that the honest answer might not be everyone's cup of tea. The King should have declined to answer IMO.
They did the same thing to old Phil on Duck Dynasty. They knew he wasn't in agreement with the whole gay scene, but they asked him anyway....and he answered them....honestly! Got himself in hot water because the media asked him his opinion and he merely told them. All this happens in a free country with freedom of speech - go figure!

Not a sore subject its just lost some of its appeal .It has changed dramaticly and I guess for some of the older guys who remember when the drivers all had some personality maybe not for the better.I still follow it but find it hard to sit for a whole 4to 5 hour race.So ya I entered a team in Poncho's pool, for the fun of trying to beat the guys on this site and add some more interest to the races. Ed
