i was over and looked at it today, bout 10mins from my office. it wasn't for the faint of heart. it was pretty rough. the photos didn't do it justice. a 283 car, no motor though. i am surprised the rear end behind the axle still looked straight do to no frame. i told the gentleman he would get a lot more by parting it out for the bright work and the glass, maybe the tags also, lol. nice man but the car was rough-rough. putting a cheap price on your labor you would still have 20g in for a nice driver. too bad.
10-15yrs ago i would of bought it just to part it and probably been close to doubling down. oh well, you can't have them all. should of took pics, sorry.
no, there was no motor. he said it had a 283 in it that was pooched. nice guy, was a mechanic and now driving truck. it was to be a father son project that went astray. best part of the car was from the firewall out and the trunk lid. the inners were decent but from the fire wall back to the rear bumper there wasn't a bunch left. both rear 1/4s were puttied some time ago and where split and seperated. the fronts were maybe salvageable. if there was value there in the car it would of been mine.
i had a 60 pontiac pariesiene, 2 dr h/t with a fair running 283 power glide 3-4 yrs ago that i got pretty much free do to being in the same condition. like i said, 10-15yrs ago i would of parted it for a reasonable buck for the glass and the bright work but as i get older i am either lazier or ?. lol, be gentle.
oh well, nothing gained-nothing lost.
