So far we are $235.00 in material for the frame and 10 hours
The front frame mount was cut from 1/4 plate....Dave made the template....It took about 1/2 an hour to make and mount
Im hoping the frame will be finished in about 20 hours as a roller.
The basic frame is a starting point for each car. Every frame is slightly different and mounting points have to be adjusted to work
Front and rear suspention theory has to be built into each frame to make it driveable.
If it doesnt drive nice.....it becomes a trud...... and nobody likes to drive a turd! I would say 20% of projects end up NOT being one of 2 things...
1...Comfortable.......2.....Drivable.....without either.....the owner will lose interest and it will either sit and collect dust.....or be sold and sold and sold
Next mounting the front end.....as soon as Dave buys or scrounges......some bits

Dave what carb do you want to run??? I haves a couple of holleys in parts and a rochester 4g…pick one
ahahaha, like I have a clue!
Last time I had a carb was on my old Ford Cortina. No wait, I had one on that Valiant Charger, but I just hooked that up and it worked so I didn't need to know how
I suppose at this stage I would choose reliability over performance, so I am happy to take advice on this one.
I have a pair of peep mirrors and a Starter or two ..Tell me the bolt pattern and flywheel tooth count..What engine are you running and what all do you have for it so far..I have a neat set of brake/tail lites that I have been saving for a project but they might be too big I will post a pic after sometime..I was attached to them cause they say STOP in the lens but they may be too big for you I will post a pic and the measurement..I have an early 63 327 cast 4barrel intake with no e4meission stuff on it..Too damn cold to go rooting around in the barn right now..but I will keep looking around here..
Glen..we can trade or swap for sumpin ..Dave if you can use the dash gauge insert it's yours..nothing fancy ..I am still looking around for some junk it's just to darn cold to go rooting.. what are you planning for seats..I have an 03 Montana that I am scraping..that has some good seats yours for free...got a shelf full of starters.. enough stuff to rebuild a dozen delcetrons 10 or 12 si

I could definitely make the dash gauge insert work, thanks Chucky
Here is a couple pics of those "STOP" lites I mentioned..I also have a gauge insert ..It's a wood one that I made for my 34 Chev now long gone..
Stop lite
insert
wow! stop light looks amazing,
but seriously Chuck, you need to hold on to that stuff. Far too valuable to waste on me.
I don't think they will be free. If you look close, in all three of those pictures Fatchuk has inconspicuously included a box of latex/nitrile gloves. You may not be walking so straight after you pick those tail lights up.
Seriously Dave if I offer it it's yours ..I and many others here have grown fond of you Since your first posts form back home long before you landed here....you have fitted in well and are a rodder that has shown much commrodderie to all of us on here and I am glad to call you a friend.. I am sure many of us wish to help with your project as best we can so we can get you and Ailsa rolling down the hiways and biways of this great province and to the many great events and good times that Rodders seem to have at thier events..You have fit right in so lets get on with the project and when you have a need post and I am sure the others on here will come to the call to offer what they have ,,At the end of the week-end it's about having a great time, getting home safe so we can do it again the following week-end..There are miles and miles of rodders in Ont ..I would just be so cool one day to see about 100/300 of us rolling down the highway to one town or another for a swap-meet, or to sponsor another brother for a help or charity event, I have learned in life that what ever I give away is returned to me a hundred fold ..What we live we learn..what we learn is what we become.
It is looking good! You guys will be able to drive it in no time. Good on you Glenn for your genorosity to lend your time to the build. We need more people like you!
Dave...you have to photoshop in a "Blown Big Block Chevy" with Zoomies in between those front rails and then tell me you don't like the drag look!!! LOL

are those rear trailing arm brackets store bought or did you fabricate them? if you did make them, how did you do it/what tools did you use to make them?
i was just wondering what tools/machinery glenn used if he made them. the holes and edges look way to clean to have been made in a drillpress with a hole saw and a chopsaw/electric hacksaw. obviously glenns 'guy' has access to some pretty sweet toolage.
didnt mean to suggest i need any brackets made.
whoops: was replying to dave and glenn got a post in before i could finish typing. thanks guys

Is it one of the trucks with the shoulder belts built into the seat on the rear seats? My friend used one of them in his model A and it worked great.
