Does he remove the rear tire to gas up?

It's a hatchback. Clearly lots of room for the beer keg fuel tank in the back ,of the passenger compartment.

As for the fuel , I think if you pour 5 or 10 gallons of gas on the fender , some of it will find it's way to the tank ....'course if it's raining the , the gas might be a little , uh , diluted .

In all fairness if he plops a hotrod body of any vintage on that frame all of a sudden he has a rat rod. Probably a young guy using what he had or his way of copying something he liked. Hard to say what is cool in other countries. .Hey if it gets them hotrodding I'm ok with it. The only thing I have trouble getting my head around are those cars from Japan with the organ pipes and long front ends or there vans with the weird body kits but I am sure they could care less what I think. Ed

Hats off to the builder. Like flatblack said it might be all he had and made the best of it. Id add some flat black paint and fill in the back side windows. Nice..
