I have always thought the 50's and 60's were the best of times.

Jeez thanks, now I feel old and sore and stiff...everywhere, lol. Nice stuff, the simple days. That's why they call'em "the Good ol'days", people and craftsmanship/quality were a lot better then.

Unfortunately, I don't know how many people you could fit in a Phone booth these days.

Oh Yah...I am still stuck back in the fifties,, and hope to croak listening the Killer ..Jerry Lee and great balls of fire with Chuck Berry chasing down Maybeline..It's was a gret time to be alive ..even with all the aches and pains I wouldn't trade those times for ten more years in a nursing home.. We had the best of times for sure ,real cars made in Detroit we never even heard of or dreamed of Tuners..or rat rods for that matter everything I owned was a Natural rat -rod..Remember the $25 insurance , Girls were easy to pick up..very few perverts that I can recall and GAYS were QUEERs...biggrin does that make me homophobic..What a queer word..

Agree Chuck, great times and great music, i still play those Cd's often while workin.
Yup, $25.00 unsatisfied Judgement insurance, $2.00 to change an ownership to switch vehichles, and no saftey check required. Gas @ $1.00 per gallon. Smokes @ $1.00 per pack of 25. The fine for "Unnessasary Noise", (from those straight pipes, or glass packs) was $25.00, driving with no license was also $25.00,, AND no point system. (Good friend was actually charged with driving with no license at least 5 times in one yer!! Lol),, then when he did get his license, no problems at all. (Boy, that has changed!!)

I feel worst now, then I did in my first post. Dammut latex gloves, taxes, rules, laws, responsibility, getting raped (taxes). Even the music was better.

I agree , 50's and mainly '60s ....no social media , (c)rap music ,and  a kinder , more respectful era that we won't get back . Drugs were something in your parents medicine cabinet that you avoided . "Getting in trouble " back then was laughable compared to what goes on today . Even if you got a detention in school , the real price to pay occurred when you got home . Not so today with all the enabling .
