Just read that there were about 12,500 cars in 2013. Looks way better then Syracuse. Doesn't have all the new cars mixed in like Woodward. I think this show is on my Radar.
I was there in 2000. It is indeed a great show. There are more big venders than you could hope to see in one place. As said, 12,500 last year and in 2000 it was 11,500. Great venue with tall old oak trees allover the place. A ton of people, and some of the best cruising around. The fair grounds are right smack in the middle of the city and the roads on all sides are at least 4 lanes in each direction. Great restaurants close by and hotels for any budget. It's about a 14-18 hour drive from London and stay south of Chicago until you're west of the city and THEN go north. It really is a "must" do.
