Nice of the two fella's jumpng over their mate instead of helping him along. That's a very fortunate Pilot, not to mention Ground Crew.

I wonder if a NASCAR type of spotter might have helped ....or if there was one, he's not very good at it!!! I'm sure that, other than 180 degrees in front, the visibility sucks - especially when you factor in above and below.

ho lee fuuuuu k

I had to watch that a few times to take it in.

My findings:

The guy at the back who was meant to keep the cable out the way was too impatient. He jumped up and grabbed the cable which swung it into the rotors. If he had waited till the chopper was a few feet lower this would have been avoided.

This method of cabling is used a lot, so it's not a ridiculous thing to do, just needs an awefull lot of training.

          They were so fortunate to not DIE     wonder if helicopter was fixed ??   just need some new blades?

I don't think it folded up. It looks like the rotors grabbed the cable and the cable sliced the tail off. All the buffing in the world ain't gonna fix that mess.

Yeah, I see what you're saying, the ground crew guy pulled the cable into the prop.
