Taking the body off for a hot rod, have no clue what the original chassis and running gear is worth. Engine may run, looks all complete. 702-236-9893 Las Vegas, Nv.
Nice rare Austin pannel truck. Back then that little Austin engine put out i think around 10-15 HP. Reverse gear was push the shifter forward then pull down.
And yes welcome from North Bay Ontario.
Sorry i got that HP rating mixed up with the old austins!!
That engine was actually a wopping 40Hp@2000 RPM, and the engine was 1.2 liters.
(This was the newer Hi-PO version!! Lol)
And reverse will be tricky , just remember push forward and then pull down, -British engineering!!
Love your'e avatar, that is one gorgeous 55!
Thanks, I have not got the panel yet, im still trying to make up my mind. I have a complete glass body 41 Willys Coupe, and almost ready to mount the body, this Austin I will have to shorten the wheel base 9 1/2 inches. And im a big guy and I love the Austins and Anglia'a, but they are pretty small inside.
Thanks for the comment on my Avator, here are some more pic's of it, it has a Yosemity Sam theme, very popular car, licensed and insured but not too street savey, may trade it off for something with more street since, pretty wild ride, I can change the tune and it will run mid 9's....only weights 2605lbs.....Ted
Here are pic's of the Willys Coupe project. I have fresh built 505 that dyno'd at 770HP with one Dominator, too much compression for a blower, thinking of putting a Enderle Injection with a Bird Catcher on a tunnel ram, to help with the gasser look. I started the car a few years ago as a tribute car, but now im building it to still look gasser but handle a little better at high speeds, shortening the ladder bars and lowering the front end a little. I have a build 400 turbo with a brake and a 4500rpm stall convertor, into a standard width nine inch with aluminum third member with 4:11 locker and Summers bros. axles. I put a Speedway straight axle with alumn. front disc. brakes. The body is made by Dixie Rod, which went out of business several years ago. Street body with floor and dash. Here are some pic's, it has a SBC and glide housing in it for mach up. Have wheelie bar for it, mount it and the coilovers at present. Thanks Ted N Vegas
