I have the previous generation C-Tek 2yrs old fantastic, leave it and go. Guy in my town Greg Fox (Foxes auto Sound) is the electronics master got one from him.
They are specially constructed for the Optima battery line.If you notice the battery pic it looks like one.
You will be happy with it.

My C-tek has been plugged in since fall. I love it. I think mine is model 3300, or something like that.

I've had "The Battery Tender" for close to 25 years now, still have the same unit, it's plugged in 24-7 and connected whenever the car is parked. Had a reproduction Delco battery in one car for almost 12 years when I sold it, never a dead battery or any other issues, swear by them

I've never used one, but I have heard good things. My 2 cents worth...

When I park the old cars for the winter (heated garage) I merely disconnect the negative battery cable. Come spring along with all my other little jobs, I put the 2 amp charger on overnight or up to 24hrs and I'm good to go for the season. My 58 Belair runs an old generator and this battery has been in the car 14 years now.

Wow 14 years! the best I ever got was 5 or 6 years. Mine was a interstate cost about 50 buck and worked perfect for the last 5 years, sold it with the 32. I made the mistake of not having one the first year and wrecked my gel cels from running them dead, they never came back to life. I will never b without one now.

I have a charger from Makita rechargeable tool, found it one day going through a junk car. 12V 500 MA output. Cut the end off and put on a couple of gator clips, presto, free trickle charger. Verified output with a multimeter. I have my batteries in the basement and put it each of them for a couple hours about once a month.

I've had many, and still have a few, different makes, etc...
I've had no issues with any of them, including the CTEK.
The only failure I've had with one, was from my own forgetfulness...I fired up the car, and let it run while the trickle charger was still plugged in. It didn't like it, lol.

Looks like a decent charger. I like the sulfation part and the soft-start.. Where'd you get it and how much? I've been looking for a better tender charger for my stuff.

Found the manual online.
