Was diagnosed with cancer in 08' and after the scary bit I made a long bucket list but as time went on it became less and less important. I bot a 65' el camino and started lawn chair racin' but not enough so started racing again. My son got the bug and now we're spending quality time together building and racing and that's worth more to me at this point than a list of stuff I never would have done anyway.

Good for you toro, but never say never....

Just wondering if you have a bucket list...just wondering.

Sort of yes.

-Do some IT work in europe, travel around a year or 2 and check the place out proper

Turns out that in 2010 Dutch citizenship rules changed. Used to be if your mom was dutch and you were born before 85 you were out of luck. Turns out that's changed, I'm getting paperwork started. This'll help that goal.

-Own a car from every decade. So far, I have 1940s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s. Anything above 2000s is iffy anyway..
Never thought in a million years one of my favourite cars would be a dodge. I love my '49.

-Marry a ginger (did that in 2013).

And it goes on.. I wouldn't say bucket list, but the things I want in life change as I get to know life and myself more. That and most of my list, well... It will offend your sensibilities. ;)

I would like to throw a camper on the back of my 55 Chev truck and hit the road-head west, down to Arizona then east to Texas over to the Blue Ridge Parkway then north .Do it before I get too old and the price of gas gets any higher!

Oh man. this times 1000% My wife and I had a road trip themed wedding that's been our thing, We're trying to figure out what we want to do for a real road trip car. Maybe built a Westfalia bus with modern diesel, or hell, just put a 51 overdrive in my 49 dodge and a little trailer behind. Something to overnight in that isn't an RV.

Can't afford a nice westy, they've got to the damned moon for prices, so I guess it would be find one that's halfways solid and build it... :)

Ever since I saw an old mercedes 600 sitting on the ground, they have hydraulic suspension and they will sit low if they are parked for a while...

I've always wanted something with bags/hydraulics that would lay on the ground when I turned it off...

Kind of like a dog taking a nap.MB_W100_(Sinsheim).JPG

mmm - bucket list - I have done most anything I wanted to that I could afford for money and time, and that mattered.

Wish list - to do the Daytona ride school and actually do 140 or so around Daytona - in the drivers seat

Get my 65 Merc to the Detroit Autorama Basement and to Syracuse

Go to Bonneville to watch - competing is way out of my budget

Cruising Woodward Avenue might be nice in my rag top

Find a woman to keep me well in my old age... smiles

I guess that's about it :)

first time i used the electric brakes i slammed into the steering wheel, damn had it set on full. after a little adjustment excellent. handled and tracked as if i wasn't towing anything. i wouldn't hesitate to take it through a tim hortons parking lot. took a little more pedal to get moving, it does weight 4500 lbs.

BAJ - Brian if you want to attend B-Ville, you have my number.

Don Nicholls is a great guy who I have purchased spare parts from for the Jimmy 302. Don missed attending B-Ville in 2013, hopefully he will attend this year.

fleet 51 - Hey stop by again, Jimmy is off sick in the machine shop, new bearings & rings. :) :)

My Bucket List :  Well I am very lucky as I am able to do most things now....  However; my next adventure, a Nitro powered AA/FA, which I have just purchased the motor (1958 iron 392 hemi running on nitro) and have collected the hard parts....

My opinion, live now, as I lost two very good friends last year, who were much too young.....

BTW, anyone is welcome to stop by & best of health to everyone !
