HI : DON here . an old six cylinder guy . I have a '51 Chev Fleetline , with a 250 Inline , T-5 . 3:42 Posi . and a '70 GMC 1/2 ton 350/350 . The '51 is a 90 % do-it-yourself project , still not quite complete. The GMC is not restored . Got the car bug at a very young age in Woodstock , and now , many decades later , live in Eastern Ont . . Not very computer literate , but hope to get better and communicate with many of you out there . LATER , DON

Welcome from Waterdowm,,Nice ride in your avitar, lots of great people here ..
HI JIM : Thanks for the compliment on the avatar photo -- I attended the Waterdown event a few years ago at "some " park -- Hopefully will again , soon ( I was with the " Ontario Inliners " gang ) .
Nice car...welcome. I am familiar with the Inliners a bit. I ran a hopped-up 250 in my 68 Chevelle several years ago. Great little set up that raised a few eyebrows with the Chevelle crowd. I decided to sell the car but I thought the 250 was hurting the sale so I sold the engine separately and put a 350 in the car. Still took forever to sell the car, so it wasn't the 250's fault.
Enjoy the site and all its shenanigans and characters.

HI CHRIS : Thanks for the story on the Chevelle -- Sounds like it was quite a runner -- As a young lad , I grew up in Woodstock and definitely remember the Brantford Piston Pushers . We wanted a club in Woodstock , but we didn't get very far with it . Thanks again , DON /fleet 51

HI Sasquatch : Appreciate the welcome from North Bay - Spent one night there two yrs ago , on my way through to the Soo . Thanks for the thought , but it wasn't me that owned the 53 or 54 that you remember -- Also , thanks for the kind words about the '51 and your appreciation for Inliners Int'l. and sixes in general --- Take care -- LATER -- DON / fleet 51

HI BAJ : Thanks for the welcome from Brantford -- As I mentioned to CHRIS 58 , I remember the Brantford Piston Pushers , when I used to live in Woodstock . What an irony , regarding your ' 35 three - window that Don used to own . About the time I was leaving Woodstock at the ripe old age of 17 to join the RCAF ( 1958 ) , I sold my first car -- a 1935 Chev 3 window coupe -- remarkable ! -- I never did get the money , or see the car again -- but that was then and this is now -- Thanks for the welcome and the chat -- DON / fleet 51
HI LARRY : THanks for the kind words on my ' 51 -- I would like to see a photo of your '51 . Mine was pretty grim looking when I started on it , and still have about another 100 hrs to go . It is my wish to spend some time in S / W Ontario soon and would love to hook up with people like yourself for a coffee and some bench chatter -- I still have a few pieces of original '51 parts -- If I can help with anything , just holler -- AGAIN , THANKS for the kind words -- DON / fleet 51
Noticed someone mentioned Don Nicholls and his being a great guy - absolutely true. I struck up a conversation with him just out of the blue at Humberstone Speedway a few years back. We talked - or rather I asked and he spoke with a lot of knowledge about the GMC 292 and different heads for that motor. Sometime later he e-mailed me an invite to one of the Inliner's get-togethers. Very nice guy.
HI RANDY : Thanks for the welcome , you gave me when I signed on , a couple of weeks ago , and Yes , it was me who mentioned Don Nicholls . Don is " Chapter Head " for the Ontario Chapter of INLINERS INT'L ., . I too am a member , hence our connection, being so many miles apart .
Don is very " heads up " when it comes to street rodding in general , and Inlines in particular . You may recall , in my introduction , that I too use an Inline six in my ' 51 -- Get's a lot of looks when attending cruise nights . When Tweeked up a bit ( mine is ) they will cruise all day long with the Big Dogs , except , when we pull in for fuel , I'm still reading Half .
Don is doing up a head for his 292 that should " really " wake it up !! 1 HP / cu in is quite common and still very drivable , especially with a 5 speed behind it . Thanks for the comments and I will pass on your kind words to DON -- All the Best -- DON / fleet 51
HI BOOTS : THANKS for the kind words --- It's always nice to receive a compliment after so many hours of what often gets called " A labour of love " ( sometimes it was , sometimes not ). The compliment coming from what I presume to be a " Dedicated FORD GUY " , is especially appreciated , so , again -- THANKS -- DON / fleet 51
Hi Don. I,m still trying to transfer the files over from my old desktop to this laptop. I,ve got pics on the old computer but haven,t figured out how to do it. I may have to get my 10 year old grandson to come over and show me how its, done. I,ll be sure to post pics when i figure it out.
