Good show, I watched the 1st episode last week. The PVR is programmed to record all new episodes.

I've downloaded all the roadkill episodes to my home network and watch them on the tv when i feel the need for gratuitous automotive debauchery

I'm on Shaw satellite, but I'll check it out tonight. I like to give a new show a chance before cutting it down - might be good!

This just about sums up the show.

Ford coupe (rod)

Body man: how much to paint liquid black
Painter: 20K
Body man: too much
Painter: 12K
Body man: come on man, you're killing me
Painter: 8K
Body man: OK
Car shows up 2 days later in time for the dead line.(not 6 months)

Camaro (wheels)

Body man: How much for blue with stripes
Painter: 8K
Body man: Really how much to paint blue with stripes
Painter: 6K
Body man turns on the charm to painter wife
Wife: Honey, you know we can do it for 4K
Painter: OK

The drama
The BS
The unrealistic production values
Have never seen a body man or painter cave like this

Wish I could have gotten those deals

Teejay, Fordy, don't waste your time.

Gazoo, I am in shock, oh yeah, it's that K-W thing (just kidding, born and raised there).

Teejay....you have the perfect playlist over on the other thread.

Warren

I got about half way through the show last week. Had to turn it off.no

Too much phony drama, and no build details.

I think another beer night watching Roadkill episodes sounds much better.

As I sit here at home wire wheeling an intake for paint spending days and waiting for the compressor to kick in and fill up I laugh at " cake decorators" saying. Send it out for paint chrome or powder coating.
I'd be more interested in watching under dogs like us who can't afford acid dipping powder coating chroming.
But hey a bucket of armour all and a gallon of wax do wonders !

Yep had to turn it off too half way through.

Roadkill by hotrod magazine is a way better waste of time. Running over a prius with a tank, too funny. Watching the Prius out run the Gremlin priceless.

Road kill is great fun to watch and the other show was not that bad. It had some entertainment value but I agree not much tech. stuff.

Watching the Rod show now. Over at Barris place.
Sat in that car before he sold it for 4.2 million.

Roadkill is awesome. Love that show. New one on tomorrow.
Best day at work ever. Lol

Well ....I did watch it ,,,,on a scale of 0-10 I might give it a 2 . George Barris reminds me of Yoda on Star Wars .....expected him to say " Do or do not , there is no try "
My only question ....who is the midget on the show ? I still like Counting Cars of all the rod shows .

#1...Road kill
#2...counting cars

Luckily, they are "different"

Roadkill is just different from everything else... And they tell you what parts (leaf blowers) they are using... Counting cars, gas monkey, the guild.... They don't.... And they cut out the all night parking lot engine swaps - just telling you it was done!

Ya I watched it again last night and I will have to retract my previos statement of not bad to not great! LOL  What kinda idiots shoot paint balls at a classic car they are going to try and make money on??? It seems like the are all reading "Q" cards and there is even pauses while they figure out who is supposed to talk next. The owner seems like a goof and I don't think the ELTA would let him into the club house.LOL   But then....they might not let me in either??!!  confuseconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuseconfuse

Not worth the time spent watching it.

I really like GhostPosts idea though, that would be something that I could watch. Real people building real hotrods and real budgets!

That would take a few years, in most cases to record an episode. LOL.
