it is a strange age, my daughter spotted a driver with an ipad taped to the steering wheel...................i guess it is hands free, but damn dangerous.

Maybe apple has an air-bag app? Amazing what they can do these days.
Gonna be dating myself here, but in cases like this I really do miss the days of pulse dialing and rotary phones.
April 1 last year when living in Calgary, I got taken down while riding my motorbike. Guy on his cell passing me on the right sideswiped me and wasn't looking. Didn't even stop.
I ride with full gear, went down, just a few broken ribs. My helmet cam hit hard though and corrupted its memory card. :( bah.
Since then I'd started reporting these drivers to the cops, cops told me they can't do anything on a citizens call-in in these cases. So what are we supposed to do?
I'm all for the $1000 fine and license revocation after your second time.
Of course that means police out enforcing and that's easier said than done.
There was a comidean who said all drivers should be issued one of those suction dart shooters and some darts.Every time someonr does something stupid or dangerous you simply shoot the dart onto the back of there car or truck. If a cop sees a car with more than 5 darts on it he fines the driver for being an a..hole.Sounds simple enough to me and think of the rage you could release shooting that dart onto the back of the idiots car.
