A video was recently making its way around the interwebs. It displayed a race between a Lamborghini Aventador and a Ford Model A Rat Rod. The race was great, and the two vehicles were each epic in their own right, but that was not the end of the debate– not nearly.
Where the hosts from that video left off is where designers Pawel Wisienski and Jans Slapins continued the debate. Both men realized they appreciated elements from both vehicles. It begged the question– what would happen if you combined these two vehicles into one epic design?
Pawel specializes in sketches, and Jans does 3D modeling. Together they created the insane Lamborghini Rat Rod that you see here. The duo incorporated elements from other vehicles too, including a Plymouth Cuda, Formula 1 cars, and an F4U Corsair fighter plane. According to Silodrome, the design even incorporates elements from a 1960s refrigerator!

The design goes below skin-deep, as Pawel and Jans envision an advanced pushrod suspension, twin-turbo small block V8, six-speed sequential gearbox, and the extensive use of carbon fiber.

One very cool element of this concept is the brake rotors built into the massive carbon fiber wheels. We’re not exactly sure how that would work, but aesthetically, it’s stunning. Frankly, we could say that about the whole darn thing.
For good measure, here is the video that inspired this design (go to the 17:02 mark):
