You can always find some big cheap RV's for $3 to 10K. Hell, I see them sitting for sale for ages. Like older big 5th wheel campers, you cant give them away.

 no doubt. But, there's a diamond in that rough.

Solution;

  1. Buy cheap
  2. Drive to farm
  3. Park axles in deep puddle
  4. douse interior in fuel and combustables
  5. toss match inside
  6. make marshmallows, drink beer
  7. in the morning hook up TV and pull from puddle
  8. look at your fresh canvas and buld from there

 Not a 5th wheel, but I built this one from a house trailer. A bit narrow, but a car does just fit on. I didnt use the beer and marshmallow method.

Another Ford, this one from Barrie. He's asking $3500, but offer $3200, which is only $100 per foot - yeah it's a monster at 32 feet long, but it's got the big block 460 to pull it!

 We're friggin Hot Rodders, Chuk !! How difficult could it be to fix all that?? Is anything ever broken beyond repair?? Bet we could fix everything in one night and still have time to share a case of beer !! biggrin

I agree Dan..but if I just got off the boat in a new Country and only had my swiss army knife and didn't have a clue where to grab the junk I needed ..I MIGHT  feel intimidated..

But hey Johnny Z, if you find something that needs a little work and your up to it I have a shop not far out of london that you could park and work on it for a day or so if you needed it My shop is not big enough to get it inside but I have tools and sources..

Teejay and Fatchuk have it right regarding that pile of parts in Barrie. You may fix the furnace, stove, and fridge in one night, but you won't fix the real problems that quickly. If Johnny Z buys it, I guarantee his Lady won't be staying in it! The tires, motor, and transmission are probably the only good things about it!

One of the truly amazing things I see where I work , ........our dealer will offer to thoroughly inspect an RV ( on a private sale ) for $100.00 before the deal is finalized .......number of "takers" in a given year ? One-zies and Two-zies ....... but we see lots of RV's AFTER the private sale at $90/hr to repair all the defects/problems that the "expert" buyer has missed . We make LOTS of money this way !
