Fisrst I would like to thank Homer for his work and effort to put this all to-gether..I would like to thank all the Ont Rodders for such a great turnout and supporting Homers efforts..Great choice for a restuarant for hosting us with a great breakfast and the srevice was great, fast and the food was hot..I was surprized how efficient and quick they served us all..
Was just great to see so many old friends and catch up on stuff, Great to see Glen (hat-on-a-cat) and all the ElTA bro's ..Thanks to all the shops that trusted us enough to let us all in and wander around the shop ,lots of stuff going on..I was energized by all the activity going on in our hobby, everybody busy, big smiles and full of the summer ahead..Seems like the future of hot-rodding is far from dead and the old-gray-beards, have lots of Octane left in their veins yet..The air was chalked full of Positive energy ..but that could come from Mark (fast-elvis) Chief cook and bottle washer for the ELTA.. anywhere Mark is he tends to leave a trail energy..Great to see yah bud..
Had a great day special thanks to Homer and His lovely Wife Barbfor hosting us.....Hope everybody gets home safe..Sure be nice to have a couple Sunday, Saturday Summer breakfasts that could end up in a great day cruise...HINT, HINT,..Below is a couple pics from my point and shoot..I am not a Darwin Kent but it was sure nice seeing him there to-day and I am sure others will add some better great pics..I had a great day now for my afternoon nap...
Wow, what an awesome day for me guys. I want to thank Homer again for putting this on. What a thrill it was to meet so many like minded people. From what I could see and hear everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I would like to extend an open invitation to everyone who showed up today and any who could not make it to drop by any time your in the area. We're always glad to say hi and show you what we're up to.
I can say that I had a fantastic day! First time I had met ANY of you! Everyone I had the chance to talk with was top-drawer! Really stand up people!
Very impressed with the talent of the shops we toured! I'm so happy to visit shops I didn't know were there! Its great to see the places!
Special thanks to Homer and the shops that allowed us to be nosy!
I'm only sorry that my second guest was not well enough to join! I will not hi-jack this thread, but will start a new one on that subject.
I also too had a great time as well.... too! As many have said, thanks goes out to Homer and Barb for organizing and promoting the event, as well as the gracious hosts that opened their shop doors for us!
These are the types of events that really boost our hobby as a whole - even if you chose not to marvel at some of the craftsmanship on display, there was that all important "Com 'Rodder' rie". Can't beat that!!!
I've got some pics that I'll put up tomorrow or Monday that were mainly taken from "The Camera on a Stick". I would put them up sooner, but I'm currently drinking my face off at the Falls and heading back over to the Casino shortly to check out the band. Today's excursion was just a breif pause or a break from drinking if you will. Lol!
I breifly considered letting a certain "Cat" outta the bag, but I'll leave that up to the Prez if he so wishes.

Thanks for a perfect day; breakfast (can't believe those girls could serve that many people all that good food in such a short time frame), getting to talk to Ken, meeting so many new people, touring a diverse selection of great build shops and even the weather, especially compared to this morning and its new snowfall.
Great time Homer...thanks to you, the restaurant and the shop owners and staff. Think of what that would have looked like 20 degrees warmer...and no salt....lots of hot rods and cool rides plying the roads shop to shop!

It's been said already, but it was a great day. Thanks to Homer for organizing the tour and thanks to the owners for opening their doors to us. I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted at the shops because I had to come home for my son's birthday party but it was still great to get out and see everyone and meet some new guys. I've posted my pics on my site and did a quick blog post for it: http://www.roddersatlas.com/blog/eggs-over-easy-bacon-and-a-side-of-hot-rods/
Well I was reminded yesterday on another post about the pics from this garage crawl and promised I would post a few of the standouts ....and of course a link to see the rest!
Here we go!
I saw 'Fast Elvis' show up in the parking lot of the first shop on this cool hot rod:
Then we went in:
On to the next shop!
The evolution of a Hot Rod pick up truck:
Next shop:
And to Welder Series:
And lastly, the stop at Hitman Hot Rods:
This is the Chevelle on the lift shown above...obviously taken with "The Camera on a Stick"
This ultra cool chassis had us scratching our heads for a spell, but I think most of us pretty much had it figured out:
That's all I've got the energy for tonight, but if you'd like to see the rest, go here:
