I have just contacted Meloche Monnex (TD Insurance) about the possibility of putting together a group rate for OnRod members. They will be calling me back. I am not sure at this point what will happen but what does everyone think about the idea. I am not using them at the moment but I have heard good things about their insurance and will be using them for my Harley this spring as their quoted rate was way less than my current Statefarm rate.
Please post your thoughts and any questions you may have for them but lets try and stay on topic and not end up in the adults only section . THX
There's no way any insurance company will beat the rates given by Vintage or a few others when it comes to classic car insurance. Motorcycles, daily drivers etc.. it might be a different story.

I do not like all the rules and restrictions with those specialty classic insurers..Vintage, Hagerty, or silver wheels. I am presently with my regular carrier..for my rod..I use it lot in the summer and have no restrictions of anything ..I prpbably pay a little more but I want to drive when I want to drive ,not just to shows or parades..
I would be interested in any club, group rates..I am at least open to the discussion to see if it does bear fruit..
It may not work for those vehicles with 19A (agreed value policies) and I don't think I would change from one either however most of us own 2 or more other vehicles so it may be worth a look if enough people are interested in trying this out and possibly saving some money. At this point I am not even sure what they can offer and this might be a waste of time but its out there now.
I will be getting a quote for my Harley and daily driver so there is 2 quotes in the group so far.
If you have had good/bad first hand experience with them please let us know.
I am with T.D for my daily driver. Not for long though I was just quoted through C.A.A and am going to save $372.00 per year. That is enough to pay Echelon Insurance for one of my rides for the year. T.D started out good and slowly started to bend me over and very gently gave it to me a bit at a time thinking I would never compare rates. Needless to say I am switching as soon as my policy is due in another month.

actually not true, i went to vintage, they quoted me 223 dollars a year, went to my insurer, 173 a year, same company and same coverage. theres only a couple of underwriters who do the old stuff, echelon and kingsway. the guy from vintage had the same line with me, nobody can match our rates he said, well i emailed him back with my brokers quote, funny he didnt get back to me.
