I went yesterday. A couple nice rods sold for under 25K.
This sweet looking fiberglass bodied '34, sold for 20K,

Then this '38 Chevy, I believe sold for 22K,

Good deals for buyers, not sellers.
There was a lot less "Classic" cars the last fall, spring, etc...a lot more newer stuff is being auctioned off, to fill up the spaces.
'90 Jags, Mercedes, etc...

I'm usually there for all three days, after looking at the program, I decided to skip Friday, (a friend of mine was there anyways),and today (Sunday), being it was warm and sunny, I decided to hit the swapmeet in Woodstock instead.

That was a really nice unmolested Anglia, solid and all there. The buyer's premium does kill most of the deals though.
Can you imagine how the sellers feel, when the have to pay 8-10% of selling price on top of the entry fees $300.-$600., depending on what day/time the car will be auctioned. Plus another $56. to cover the cost of a vehicle search.

I believe that Anglia went on the block, Saturday afternoon. Which would make the entry fee $750.

$7,750.
- $775. (10% auction fee)
- $750. (Sat. entry fee)
- $56. (vehicle search)

$6169. is what the seller got for his car.

If this would have been a private sale, they both would've been better off. Now the buyer has no choice but to pay the full tax amount, he can't get a receipt for a lower amount.
