Ended up going to Lindsay for the first time. What a friggin mud pit !! Usual junk that amazes me why people bother dragging this stuf around. I thought Lindsay wasn't going to allow sock vendors, but we did manage to find a couple. Would have been an OK show if the weather wasn't so lousy.

its good to hear you had such a fabulous time hemi, you could have come to stirling and had a few drinks with me and tj.  i had a great time at stirling, scored some great stuff, sold stuff and made money.  i bought a set of hurst olds lightening rod shifters, cheap!  another thing off my list.

Just got back from Lindsay rain every day making the back end where I was muddy but we had a great time under the canopies. You seem to meet a lot more people when they come in for cover. Meet two long time Stirling venders on Sunday when they came to see what Lindsay was all about for themselves and signed up for next year. They tell me Stirling had a lot better weather for the weekend so that is one advantage of being so far apart on the same day. This year Lindsay grew over 140 vending spots filled with only 6 left as of Friday with a total of over 570 vending spots filled for the weekend. I was surprised of the number of venders leaving Barrie for Lindsay like the guy from North Bay beside me that I found also posts on this site. I thought I seen every thing at swap meets until Friday when Clarks Trucks came in with a gas pump display for sale. I mean the whole island  2 gas pumps the large Supertest  sign on the octagon pole and the big CONCRETE pad it all sat on.  Asking price $10,000. but it was a real nice display.

I have to give AACA a pat on the back for the large  large 5 isle inside vending area was exceptional 95% automotive from beautifully restored gas pumps, a dozen cars for sale from Fawcett's 1911 Cadillac to a 65 Shelby, radios, gauge displays and everything in between. Thankfully no little old lady's with yard sale stuff but one guy selling maple syrup and another selling t shirts and I guess that is inevitable.

Looks like except for the rain and mud part all had a good time wherever they were Stirling or Lindsay.

Correction

Yes I have been corrected again AACA Lindsay actually filled 604 vending spots out of 610 available. Even though there was vacancy's in the field due to no-show or leave early from all the rain with 95% automotive. Not to shabby for its second year at their new location with enquires now from the U.S.
