A while back there was some posting by a dude building a 265 chebby to run in a 55 ?? 56 ??? Chevy to run class racing , or build a clone of a class racer .

at first I thought , ahhhh , why bother with a 265 , but then it got mentioned that 265 ,s turned some good times in a fairly heavy car back in the day with the ancient technology available then .

Then I was thinking , ya , myself I,d still build a 350 or bigger , . But if,n I had my mind set on a clone of a vintage class racer yea I,d go with the engines they used at the time .

Here is a vid to back up the argument for using a small cid engine . This AMX is running a 290 AMC iron block , mods unknown to me .
