Orange peel is chevys trade mark only way to tell if its factory or not.  had a brand new 03 SS and a 05 same thing the sales guys even laugh about it.

Yes they are sprayed by robots now, Humans are too unsteady..Robots can get a consistent quality..smile

 They've used robots for years, but paint quality and especially the way it's applied is what has improved. OEM had lots problems adapting water borne technology in the old paint shops designed for solvent based paints. Most now have newer paint shops.

Ray Its a 52 gmc same year I was hatched ,305 one wheel peel 700r4 power steering and brakes and yes it has vaceum[spelling] wipers needs a little tlc nothing I can,t deal with I love it and most of all sweety does to, but it dont give me a pinky like the coupe,,

Ok, thanks, had a couple of them years ago. Vacumn wipers,, Lol, they were not the best in a heavy downpour on a grade.

65 belvedier [phil] drove it down from saulble this morning in the bitch storm arrived at 7am paperwork done by 930 breakfeast at angels ,coctails at 11 sent him home with buddy at 2,,betchya he,s in bed snoring now,,
