We'll I woke up today thinking it was going to be a good day. Sunny in Vancouver hardly happens. Went out front to see my van wide open and the inside trashed. This is a good neighbourhood my daughter was told when she was buying. Only thing they took was my Johnny Cash CD....damn kids. Off the the lumber store I go only to get a rock in my windshield from a passing truck. Damn. Get home and start working and my youngest daughter comes home in tears ..she got a rock through her windshield from a truck too. WTF I say....crap. Best part of the day is I'm finally finished the Reno. Tomorrow I fix my van then on the road Thursday to head home. Told the wife I would bring her something frilly. Anyways got my camera and hope to spot some tin on the way home...will get a new CD for the trip home....on the road again...la ala la la on the road again....ha

When we went to Victoria in '10, Bill Clark and I crossed over into the states at Creston/Port Hill, Idaho and took US#2 home. It runs the top of the US right through to St Ignace MI. Turn right on I75 in St Ignace and left in Flint and you're on your way home. You run through the Glacier National park just east of Kalispel Mt. and the National Forest in the U.P of Michigan. Great road , a lot of new pavement, nice scenery, and cheap gas as well!
I'm not going through the mountain ever again. Going to head south to Idaho and turn left and head home. Take 5 1/2 days with the wife navigating. I'm on my own so I should be home in 4 1/2 days....
