I am looking for a used vehicle to flat tow behind my motorhome. I don't want to spend a fortune but will pay for a good clean dependable vehicle. Does anyone here know the ideal vehicles for flat towing without having to stop to run the transmission or remove the driveshaft. Some Saturns are ideal but not with the VTi transmission. The Traker and Jeep Wrangler are also mentioned, but only certain years. What have you successfully used?
My previous neighbor had a late 200? Chevy Malibu and all he had to do was pull a fuse and he pulled it all around North America. He doesn't live here anymore so I can't confirm the YOM, but that will get you something to look into.
Be aware that lots of the newer manual do not lube the bearings in neutral!

used car dolleys/totes are cheap and are better then a tow bar, then you just park the front wheels on the dolly so no need to worry about the transmission.
my 2004 civic came with the brackets in the front bumper for flat towing from the previous owner. it spent its winters in florida. base model, standard, only option was air conditioning

Your right Rob and it gives you a lot more choices in what you drive when you get your Motorhome parked
