Get home last night and wife tells me my pick up won't start. Go out and look around and the battery cable is rotted off from the starter. Cut the cable and get it ready for a new end. Went to take the nut off the solenoid and the plastic housing brakes into several pieces. Now I gotta take the starter off. Go to take the starter off and the other wire disintegrates in my hands. Now it gotta get a second new wire. Now I Get everything off and wife says stores are closed today......damn. Sooner or latter I gotta catch a break... Anyone else have a crappier day they could tell us about to make me feel better??. .

Went for a drive in the boonies to look at some stuff for sale. Drove over a clump of ground and ripped that dam*d plastic valance loose under the front bumper, so it was now dragging. Stopped and couldn't find a thing to tie it up with, (Not my vehicle), no wire, no string, nothing, no knife to cut it off, finally had to tie it up with my belt, just needed to punch a new hole in the belt, but with what?? Ended up finding a baffed out philips screwdriver and drove the new hole through with a bent up small "C" clamp, got it tied up , worked as good as a ratchet strap. Lol.
Hey, it was sunny and warm, could have been pouring rain! Got back, and have my belt back now to hold my pants up.

I have the worlds most painful disease known to medical science. I got an attack at the theatre and my wife ran to get me water for my meds.
I prayed how thankful I am to be alive and how grateful for what I have in life.
I have survived 4 brain surgeries and was awake during.
I have nothing to complain about sorry

Good job Ray.smile lol

Were you out checking out  that fella just out of town on summit rd that is selling 2 shops full of items? Huge amount of welding equip ect. Someone just told me about it today so I took a run up there. He had just moved everything back in but let me in to have a look.

Got some killer deals and I found an old grenade  which I sweet talked out of him to use for the gear shifter for my car.......biggrin

Super guy. He's having another sale July 1st weekend ............

Working on my old car today welding on the fender and ran the torch across my finger nail, burned it badly, hurt like hell might I add.. Whined about it for a couple hours , went and cut the ditch with my old push mower after the pain subsided, reached down to pump the primer ball after the mower had been already running for a bit but poorly and instead of hitting the primer, went right for the extremely hot because of lack of fuel muffler with you guessed it ,the same finger, now I have cooked it completely through anyway! Not rare in the middle or anything! GEEZ!

Finally got my car out of storage only to find I have a stuck caliper. Drove it around the block a few times and decided to change the oil only to discover this milky white substance in the oil pan. Hoping its just a head gasket. Started to smell plastic burning when I got home, lifted the hood and found the wire running from the alternator to the battery melted. Back in the garage she went.........

I was going to work on my car and boat today but after reading all these posts i think i just may sit in my chair and not move. But , then, it,s taken me 35 years to get this far on the car so if i have a setback , what the hell, whats another 35 years.
