A few more pics.

Frame started, windows chopped 5".

Wheels came in, so I had to mock it up to get an idea of what it will look like.

Not at all !! It just does resemble Cat's build. No such thing as stealing someone's idea because other than the basic shape, you car will be different in a thousand other different ways.smile

Ryan,

The great thing about building a car....is that you can build it anyway you want

There is no right or wrong....as long as your build makes you happy

For the last 3 months I have posted my build....got a lot of yeahs....and a lot of neahs

but in the end...I built what I wanted the way I wanted

check out the ......0 to rat rod in 2 1/2 months ....build Take what you like.... leave the rest

Good luck on your build....I......like the look already

I think they mean it looks familiar because they saw me selling it at ancaster. I traded FYN RYD the body. And it looks like we are both happy with the deal

Looks awesome can't wait to see it more.

Very happy newagerod, I will definitely make it into something cool.
I am yet to see a rat rod that has a meticulously built, and painted frame and components.
So that is my plan.
We build show cars for people where perfect body is key, this is a nice change.
Thanks again.

It will be raked, just a bit though.
I will be fabbing a roof for it to replicate original, and the truck will be bagged as well so it will lay down fully at shows.
I also cut another 1.5 inches out of windows since these pics so now we are at a 6.5" roof chop.
Need a front axle still, hopefully I can get one at Barrie this weekend.

I kinda liked the look without the roof and just the visor. Looks really unique.

Thank you, it is easier than people think to make welds look good. This was done with mig welder. I did offer welding training a few years ago at our shop but we didn't have many responses so we decided to stop.
If you have an questions let me know.
Thanks.

Awesome welding skills! Somebody has a steady hand. A lot better then some of the Hubba Bubba welds I've seen.

I also like the way you radiused the frame over the axle, sure beats the straight kick up, over, then straight back.

Looks great, so far, and I say so far, because I'll be watching for updates.

Thanks gazing, I'll definitely keep posting updates as I make progress.
I never get much time to work on my own vehicles as we always have lots of work to so on customers vehicles.
But I try to find time.
