We used to take the rust off our bicycles with regular coke in the 60's . Maybe the diet stuff keeps the bee's away and make's it less sticky

Yup, 60 years ago anyway that i remember, i tried it, but it didn't work real good.
Kids used to use up their mothers "SOS" scouring pads, they worked! Lol

I will try it !! Not because it's neat, but because I think it's a bunch of horse crap. It may prove me wrong, but I doubt it. This was an old wives tale that Coke would remove rust because it contains acid. Phosphoric acid to be exact, but in such low quantities that it would neutralize itself with little more than a bit of rust.

I was watching American Restoration a while ago and he had a similler tip ,but I think he was using viniger and tinfoil.If I could find any chrome on mt car I would try it out. Do you think it would work with a rear bumper plated with that Neufie chrome in a rattlecan. Ed

ps common be honest we have all tryed it. Ed

 Vinegar might work because it has a much higher concentration of acid.

It removes rust period... In no way shape or form doe's it RESTORE chrome .

here is my front bumper spent 2 minutes ,tops on the drivers side

but drank the rest before getting to the passengers side LOL

of course it doesn't restore chrome but it does remove the rust
