Day 8: Chula Vista Resort, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. This was a carry over from Day 7, no driving today except to drive home. There was a group photo or two, followed by the Long Hauler award certificate and a very nice stamped steel 20th anniversary sign. I parked my butt on the road where everyone would drive by for a farewell shot in front of the Tour bus and captured most of the Long Haulers on their way out. This will be a wrap for the Power Tour coverage....until next time!
I camped out again, this time at the Kicker trailer, right near the hotel.
Freiburger was attempting to assemble over a thousand Long Haulers for a group photo - entertaining to say the least!
Of course GM Performance had to get their latest releases into the picture, I guess I can't
blame them - they likely paid big bucks to be a primary sponser.
This is the exact moment that Frieburger clicked the official Long Hauler group photo......
This is how I know:
That's me, taking a picture of Frieburger taking a picture of me taking a picture of him getting the group shot!
After 20 years, this picture just keeps getting bigger every year!!!
There was a bit of a line up to go past the Tour bus at first, but it thinned out pretty quick.
A quick tune up....
Then back on the road - Happy trails!
Slowly but surely the parking areas cleared out.
There were a fair share of "more doors" on tour:
C'mon, 4 doors aren't popular? Look around, there are plenty out there havin' as much fun as everyone else!

I saw "Fri" sneeking up behind me while I was shooting, so I shot him first!
Then I shot him again!
Clearance kept us entertained all week every evening at the main stage:
There was plenty of late model stuff too - kinda cheating, but whatever!
That's it!!!
You can see some more from this batch and all the other days back at the "mother site". I'm not too sure how many I've shown you on this site, but there are 3115 altogether! See the rest from day 8 here(there are 511 pics):
Wow what a great tour. Something I 've always wanted to do. Ben and I have talked about it and the Drag week event but both are too close to Exams and school has to come first. Someday it will happen. Thanks for sharing all those pics. Awesome

Thanks Richard. You and Ben would thoroughly enjoy yourselves on the Tour. Maybe one year a bunch of us from Ontario Rodder will get our ducks in a row and Tour together. I know Ghost Post and Son have expressed an interest too!

Friggin awesome pics. Just awesome.
You have such an eye for this. Literally.
Maybe in a couple years when JR has money and a licence. I have the time.
We see what happens.
That would be cool. Had as chance years ago to go with the National Nostalgic Nova President and a couple others in the Nova Police car. He needed an extra driver. Ben was due to be born not long after and I couldn't go due to the possibility of an early arrival an I didn't want to miss the Birth of my first Kid.
