There are 106 miles to Chicago. We have a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Dan it is a really nice resort type thing on the south shore of Rice Lake. They have condos, cabins, boat rentals, camping,RVs, swiming and a nice show area. If you have never bin to this one I think you might like it .You could probably get some information by Googling Golden Beach Resort. Ed
Have you guys got lots of stickers, spoilers and a wing kit for the back? It IS being held at Rice Lake after all!
Are they really going to let North American cars in to participate?

went to the "Roar by the Shore" in Port Perry. close to 300 vehicles showed up. For their 2nd. annual show on Queen St., they had it very well organized this yr. Good door prizes & excellant trophies [not into that part] weather was great. Staying close to home now with gas prices & entrance fees climbing this yr. I see some shows are now up to $15 $20 & $30 getting a bit "greedy I think??? Pete

The Ratlers had a great time . Golden Beach is always fun,it was there 22nd show and I belive I have made it to all of them in one car or another over the years . We had a breakfast stop and a good inexpensive one it was as a bonis . The Boy and I each won a door prize, his was a hockey stick that was actually the kind he uses so that will be useful and mine was for a lunch at one of the restaurants in Cobourg so also useful. Fatstax and Ratrod Mike were skunked and I know they each had there hearts set on that washbucket full of pollishing stuff. Speaking of pollishing ,Hemi was doing a fine job on the roof of the delivery till I reminded him flatblack isn't supposed to shine. All in all a really nice day,a lot of really cool cars, and lot of fun people. What better way to spend a day. Ed
