I was there to have a quick look. Quite a few cars there! I saw another 53 merc m100 there and he had a BSA in the back too!

 You were lucky to be introduced to bad wiring on a M100 . Joseph Lucas the prince of darkness has pushed many a man over the edge. My first introduction to him was at 16 when a short in the front brake light switch killed the engine. smile
