Anyone know where I could find a front output shaft housing from a transmission? My dad has one in his 53 gmc truck he is doin and his is broken. Anyone have one laying around ? Looks to me like a Muncie sm420 but not 100% sure.  The piece we need hold the input bearing at the front of the tr

The Sm 420 was made from 47 to 67 the early version  never had a seal in the input  housing and A dipper hole at 6 oclock on the retaining tube- 47 to 53. I got a whack of 3 speeds and Bell house for an AD Id like to give away to someone that would use it . Stax ( rob ) may have one from that COE he has. Flat Black May be able to help you out there.

Is there any chance of it being the same as a '53 car ?? -- If so , I have a car version ( still in the car ) . If it is any good to you , just let me know and we can make arrangements to pull it for you --- LATER -- DON / fleet 51
