I don't know how many customizers there are on this board but the last of the famous Alexander Brothers Custom Shop of Detroit passed away today.Mike and his late brother Larry built some of the nicest Kustom cars in the late 50's thru the early 70's as well as painting most race cars in the Detroit area. If it had a Candy paint job Mike probably painted it. Anyone who was lucky enough to spend some time with Mike would first tell you what a gentleman he was.  R.I.P. Mike

That's sad news
Some truly great cars came from their shop

they won at least 3 Ridler awards
Probably most remembered for the Deora

I was in their shop when they were building the Deora.
The windshield is a tailgate off a Ford station wagon.
Did a lot of car shows with them.

I was just told that another artist, designer, builder from the Detroit area has passed.
Jack Kampney did a lot of work for Promotions. He built a chopped Ford van for Bruce Robertson, who did some car shows in Toronto.
