Thought I would put a few pics of the Old Nomad here and get a little feed back. I've been going to redo this thing but several people say don't. What do think??
Im in the leave it alone catagory . I noticed it at the ELTA bash. Some guys i was with all said how neat it looked. Sometimes not so shiny really works, car has attitude......

To me the problem is that people make new cars look old so when a "survivor" truly comes along they no longer stand out. That is a however a beautiful looking car, I would be inclined to leave it but it is your car and your vision. Best of luck.
The only thing I would change is the name on the ownership! I will pm you the proper spelling of my name, Oh you will need lots of this stuff I'm guessing? $$$$$$$. Love the car the way it is.
I agree with all of the above - leave it! After speaking with you at the Sunday Can Tire Cruise Night a week before the big ELTA Bash, I would however splash a little flat clear on it for protection/preservation. Have a little fun with it for 5, 10 or ???? years, then redo it. It will be like getting a totally different car for the cost of a paint job!

Not sure how old the paint is, 15-20 years is my guess. Car has had a tach on the dash,no lower front fender splash pans, fiber glass front fenders, damaged firewall from engines or transmissions bouncing off it on the way in, was a race car at some point in its life. I'm thinking of putting a straight axel, fender well headers, and a 9" Ford.
I saw your Nomad at the ELTA Party brother and I thought it looked very cool....."once cool always cool"..... I'd leave it the way it is.....just a cool piece. Bring it by the ELTA Shop sometime soon, I'd like to see it again and have a chance to chat.

Nothing screams OLD GASSER like straight axle and fender well headers with big dumps. Give er .
I'm with the others! This brings back so many memories I could just stare at it all day. I have a friend who spent megga bucks trying to get this look but to me he never succeeded at least not compared to your car. Like the others have said it's your car you can do it how you want.
That's a good idea, it looks cool just the way it is. My next purchase will be all original other then making it safe and reliable, shiny paint won't be on the list. HRD
I saw the car at St. Thomas on the weekend. It looks great!
It was parked close to me on Sunday and I found myself staring at it quite a bit. It has a really cool look.
Up date on the "OL Nomad". The "straight axle and fender well headers" arrived today. The factory front suspension is out of the car now. I have the engine on a stand and apart. Going to put a little power in the engine. Will post some pics when the thing has pics worth taking. Going to be a fun winter in the garage.

Wow...sounds cool brother....your the 3rd guy this winter putting an axle under their ride......sounds like we'll have a bumper crop of gassers hitting the streets for next summer. I look forward to seeing more pictures...best of luck.
