No...I haven't for sometime now. I've found there others that are just as good and a lot closer. At one time it was an adventure, now it's a pain in the butt. Might have something to do with age as much as anything.
I think the internet lets you find the real nice pieces you need. I say every year that I'm not going, and its not for any reason that I say that, but some how I always end up there! HRD
I'll be there! Took Friday off to leave that morning.
Yes it is a bit costly, but it is a big event and I know people who use it as more of a camping trip.
I love the stories too. In the spring I met some Newfoundlands who drive a 70s Chev. pickup to Ontario every year, they then pick up a Dodge Ram and drive both trucks to the automotive show (guess they don't trust the Ram as much). That is a long way!
Anyway, looking forward to it. I am looking for a few odds and ends and I am sure I'll come home with a lite wallet.
I'll be there, actually my first time vending but a friend talked me into it. We're right across from MBRP so should see some traffic. I'll have a few model A bodies, frames, etc. oh and a '48 Plymouth there too. Wish me luck!
I might go if the woman is working and I can sneak out .
I think I only want some 1/2 x 20 open nuts for weld wheels , washers for same , ans see if hortons is there . whats mbrp . the race track ??..77.

I was just about to head out there this afternoon, since I haven't been in 15 or more years and had a surprise day off. I figured I'd meet up with a good friend, who is vending in the Gold section, and spend tonight and Saturday night also.
But....as usual, something else comes up...my daughter has a domestic, and I had to go help her with her stuff.
Maybe tomorrow (Saturday).....
By the looks of the weather here, if it was anything like that in Barrie, I didn't miss much.
Crazy weather on Friday! Today was beautiful though, good steady crowds, bumped into a bunch of old friends and made some new ones. Sold three model A`s so far plus a bunch of other parts so I`m happy. One day to go.
MBRP is a big exhaust company from Huntsville that has a pretty big set-up.
got sucked into working late at work today didn,t get out till after 2 pm . sunday is chore day . probably a pass on this year . Playin , did you see a vendor from Quebec , that's sposed to bring a bunch of Harley stuff ??..77.

I did actually, I'm trying my best to stay away from bikes though so I walked by fast! Have enough things to spend money on.
There was a few guys selling some Harley parts (new vendors).
Beautiful weather today, crowds were thinner but still very steady. I sold out of everything I brought with the exception of a '48 Plymouth, I'm a bit tired but a good weekend......and I only smiled a little when one of my buddies stopped by with a bag of socks, he was very happy though and had no clue how amusing I found that.
I was vending/camping/on vacation. Drank a few beers, saw some old friends and shot the **** with more than a few. My son is getting married this weekend so I didn't spend the cash I made. The rain and wind was wild and I love a lightning storm so that was okay. Over all I made about $500.00 so thats okay as well. Did see Fatstax,Apachomatic and a few others and shot some ****. Since I don't take it seriously anymore I had a great time. Was hoping to find a Grand National right tail light but that didn't happen. Did find a guy coming to my sons wedding that has one for me. Price? Free....gotta love car guys.

I was there Saturday, it was much better then I expected. I stopped going years ago, because of the garage sale scene and the lack of automotive stuff.
Although there was a number of empty spots, there was plenty of car related parts, bikes, sleds, etc...
I didn't buy anything, aside from a few aluminum trays.
I was looking for a steering wheel, but didn't find what I had in mind, and there was plenty to choose from.
The crowd was decent, and the rain held off, it was a good day, I'll likely go back in the spring.
I did see Rob (Fatstax), drive by with his gas powered stool, towing a couple "little red wagons", but he was a couple rows up, and I never did catch up to him.
