On powerblock TV they built a floating traction bar system using spring hangers on the front of the bars and mounted onto a crossmember on the Comet. Does anyone have any info on this type of setup? I tried a search on powerblock but no luck. I know I could make the diff slide on the springs but do not want to go that route.

I remember them doing that, it looked like a single ladder bar. The principle is sound, GM used it on gen3 Camero and Firebird called it a torque bar. I'll see what I can find.

Muscle Car Episode 19 2010 They show the fab and install of the drives side but Tommy talks about both sides. I don't think both sides are necessary because the axle housing doesn't float on the springs and the shackle allows for movement.
