The original Senior Dragster, maybe

I am considering selling the senior dragster as I am getting to old to run it.

It is turn key, needs nothing but a good driver. Has appeared in Hot Rod deluxe, Chrysler Power, County magazine and was featured on Gearz Tv show at the end of the Knucklebuster episode.

Engine is built by Don Dulmage aka Mr Mopar as is trans, chassis etc etc. 246 cubes, 10.2 to 1 comp, Custom made cam to my specs by Comp Cams(I am Don) Stainless valves and hi flow ported head. Tunnel ram features 2 Holley 2 bbls and headers are built to tune the same rpm as the intake. Torque Converter is a 8 inch custom made for this car and engine by Frank Lupo Dynamic Converters.

I would need at least $7000 to consider  allowing it to leave my sight. Convince me!

Yes but I knew in my heart it was time. I wondered also about taking a working engine dyno on trade. Any vintage. Just in good condition. I could still play with my motors but wouldn't have the too fast too hard to get in and out of thing. However I would miss more I think the sitting around visiting with other rodders and racers.
The VW is gonna have to replace it. I don't want to quit just yet. Just need a slower and more comfortable ride.

That's a tough decision to make but you still have the V W to play with. I wish you good health and fortune going forward and I will continue to follow the V W progress.

don, what have you got in mind for a dyno. i might have a connection in that world. a good friend of mine is the owner of westech performance in LA.. he would know where or what is out there in california and what they are going for. i would think it would boil down to what bell's and whistle's where involved.

Bells and whistles are not needed. An old Clayton or something or a go power would make me smile. I started building one a long time ago but realized at that time I had no use for it with a race track so close. One of my friends uses your friends services for his 318 poly testing. The big trouble with one so far away is the shipping is more then the dyno is worth. My Nephew bought one out of Carleton U When they were renovating. However he didn't feel like bringing all the wiring and cables and control system as he so all he has is the motor bolt on part and load. He probably should have left it there as now it is just atrip over in his shop. He is a bodyman/ painter and is very good at his craft so I can forgive his indiscretions. I am not looking to buy one just so we all know that. I would be willing to consider one mixed in the deal for the senior dragster. That may never happen and that is Ok too. At 65 need is an old word. Would like or might be interested in is the new lingo. Been watching too many episodes of Down East Dickerin perhaps

Can you give me a bit more specifics, IE: horse power/ torque rating. Dynoed? What does it run in the quarter or 1/8 th.
It's not for myself, just passing to info along to help you with the sale, if you're still interested.
