Brings back a lot of good memories. Except the ones when a tire blew or a wheel bearing gave up.

My buddy Brooke DeShaw (RIP) who owned and raced the ex Miller and Gregory Pack Rat BB/A "T" had one of the first enclosed trailers that I can recall. He raced this altered as a B/A in 1963/64 under Performance Improvements sponsorship. Kept the car at the Roadmates Car Club in Mississauga.

I still believe that going to an enclosed trailer hurt racing to some degree. As a kid there was nothing more exciting than seeing a race car on a trailer. It was like a follow me ad for the local race track. I guess the enclosed trailers give the crews a lot more flexibility and security but now you never know if it is a race car or a lawnmower inside. Maybe that is why so many get stolen.

Great thread and thanks for posting the video.

Miss seeing all the ramp trucks years back just about everyone had one. Not only drag cars but most stock car classes had them too.
Cool when the gates opened and there would be a line up at times of ramp trucks with cars , was great to see and walk around them checking the under sides out.
It sure was good advertising that racing was happening!
