In 1977 a friend of mine bought this car. It was a CJ that was raced in Super Stock since it was new and was mint with very low miles. He installed mufflers and street tires and put it right on the street. It was maroon in colour with gold stripes around the back.
He sold it as he had no money left and the motor needed work. The new owner (from Thorold Ont.) wrapped it around a telephone pole, destroying the car!
The Mustang:
The stripes are similar to the Sandy Elliot cars, and it was not affiliated with either Sandy Elliot or Don Henderson from Brantford.
I would appreciate any information anyone can recollect.
Thanks,
KenW

I don't recognise the car but I do recognise the name of the engine builder. On the fender is " engine by J. Blain ". I grew up with John but lost touch with him when he moved to Grimsby On. where I believe he still lives. He was quite involved with drag racing in the 70s and last I heard he was running a Mustang at Cayuga so I believe this is the same one. Perhaps you can get in touch with him about the car.
