i am not real fond of the quarter stick that's in the car now. i will be ordering the lightning rod unit for the powerglide, they look to be very well built.

 the design of the shifter eliminates the need for a reverse pattern valve body. the number of levers depends on how many forward gears the transmission has. with the powerglide, the PRNDL shift lever operates like any other shifter. put the PRNDL shift lever in L and it "arms" the second lever so it can be pulled from L - D and also downshifted. similar to the old hurst lightning rods. sort of lenco style for automatics.

ordered the shifter today. i'm having it delivered to florida so my buddy can bring it back with him in march.

my shifter will have 3 levers, PRNDL   L-D   D-N.

a very well constructed unit. comes with b&m cable,bracket and trans shift lever. i'll also be replacing the cheapo mr gasket floor mounted throttle pedal with a neat lokar firewall mount. the new 5 pt harness and the new headers arrived as well. gettin' ready for the armdrop and the shannonville nostalgia series.
