No idea! Pulled it from a forum after typing in "mopar flathead performance". Something to aspire to.

That head on it is from edgy though, they make em new.

Here's old blue. my '49.

Not hot-rodded yet, but will get there. I have plans. Dual intake with carbs, split exhaust, overdrive transmission (if I can ever find the one from a ... 51-53?? that bolts right on).
Higher compression etc.

All original.

I don't know Dodges as good as some of you but and buddy of mine is a walking encyclopaedia and collector, here is a couple of them.

IMG_4536.JPGIMG_4538.JPG

one of 5 cars to be ordered with an armrest in centre of seat which meant no console,no floor shifter. This car was ordered by vancouver dealership so salesman could drive it around to other dealers for promotions so he wanted an armrest. It had a carb fire that resulted in the dash and windshield damage was declared a write off he bought it and over the years did minor repair to restore it.After all this time it has only 8000 miles on it!! In another part of the shop he has many more hemi power cars in varies state of disrepair, one was on it's way to africa but a dealer saw it being loaded on a truck and decided to keep it for himself it had heater delete and speedo in kms. Very interesting shop tour!!

i wish-lol.  i had bought the motor in new brunswick about 5-6 years before the car. it had 700 mi, rebuilt, and came out of a 69 road runner that got wrote off. it wasn't cheap but i knew it was very desirable. a good friend from las angeles who is high up in the car world, westech performance, who visits once a year up here or i go there was up and gives me sh!t for not having that in a car by now instead of on a stand for 5-6 years. i growl back, you live in the land of good cars find me one. about 3-4 months later i get a call from him and he is at the pomona swap meet looking for big block corvette stuff and come across the coronet. he describes it to me and he knows his stuff and it came with a solid 69 super bee roller shell. i ask how much, he tells me and told him to buy it. a month or so later me and a buddy from up here go down with a 2 car trailer and picked them up. could of sold both of them numerous times on the way home, lol.

drove it up here for a couple of summers while i put all the parts together for the swap. i sold the super bee roller to a guy in peterboro for some of the money for the parts.

    was

-69 coronet 440 model 2dr/ht with the black plates on it

-318 fresh built with an auto art carr transmisson, called california transmission now----both for sale now, lol

   now

-69 coronet 440 model 2dr h/t with with year correct

-426 hemi fresh built with a new 5 speed tremec, hyd clutch, and a new moser dana 60, disk brakes

-next, install frame connectors, hemi torq bars and front discs. i still have the 2x4 intake.

thanks for the compliment shaker. its been a lot of fun doing it.

Thanks Shag I like the body style too.It is an all original North Carolina car brought to Ontario 2005. I plan on not touching the original patina. It is going to get an engine make over and that is it. The underside and trunk are still like new.

the van is ... interesting but only photoshop art , it's not real

I just had to look it up last night myself

handy photo search deal I found a while back called tin eye - google it and download it -- don't forget to click to download the right click feature too

it's free to the casual user and had no bugs - I've had it on 3 diff computers myself

it won't always find a match to the pic your searching simply because it won't have already referanced every site on the net

searching the van pic I got about 12 hits from other sites where it's already been posted

Has anyone commented on all the Mopars sitting in Wasaga Beach? It was big talk a couple of years ago, but I wasn't a member here at that time....not sure if its old news! They are a few still sitting there. These pictures are from last year.

This will be my only contribution to this thread.  Dad would shoot me,

Here are some pics of my Uncles 1969 Dodge Charger 500. Equipped with 426 Hemi, 4 speed manual trans, 4.10 Danad 60 with 4.10 gears.  A total of 500 Charger 500s were made, of which only 67 had the 426 Hemi engine; 27 with a 4-speed and 40 with an automatic transmission

The Charger 500 was the 1st of the series of 3 MOPAR "Aero" cars.  1st was the Charger 500, 2nd was the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona and 3rd was the 1970 Plymouth Superbird.  All 3 of these "Aero" cars can be identified by the stainless steel inserts that cover the front of the A-pillar.  The Daytona and Superbird of course had their extended 18" nose and super high 23" rear wing.  The Daytona is pretty much a Charger 500 with the nose extension and rear wing. The front spoiler and rear wing produced 1200 lbs and 600 lbs of downforce respectively.

The Charger 500 got a flush front grill, from the 1969 Coronet

The 69 Charger 500 did not have the success Dodge was looking for, so Dodge developed the 1969 Dodge Daytona.  Buddy Baker took one of these beasts to over 200mph, being the 1st car ever to do so.

Approximately:

500 (392 available to public) 1969 Charger 500's were built

505 1969 Charger Daytonas were built

1,935 1970 Plymouth Superbirds were built. For 1970 NASCAR raised teh minimum production numbers from 500 cars, to 2 cars built for each dealership country wide, this meant Plymouth required at minimum 1920 cars)

pics

1)Under the hood of my Uncles Charger 500

2)Rear(not his actual car-just a pic to show the flush mounted rear glass)

3) 3/4's front of his actual car

4) Rear of Dodge Daytona for comparison of flush mount glass(same as Charger 500)

5) Rear of 1969 Dodge Charger R/T (not as aerodynamic as the flush mounted rear glass)

6)Front of 1969 Coronet to show genesis of the 1969 Dodge Charger 500 NASCAR front grill

7) 1969 Dodge Charger R/T front grill (not so aerodynamic)

Hello from Mopar Central. A lot of Mopars are connected to this shop including the actual stunt Charger's engine for Fast And Furious movie. (not the pretend one but the one that actually did the stunts. ) The 72 Charger race practice and driver training car for the "NASCAR RETURNS TO LEMANS " project in Europe. Now known in Vintage road race circles in Europe as the Orange Charger. The Old Reliable book's car raced here under the "Gettin Vicious" name. And of course the worlds first Senior Dragster (cause old people need fun too!).My first car was a 42 Plymouth club coupe. Next I hadmohawk.jpgdart.jpgKayoogu.jpg A 58 Dodge with a 61 313 done with a four barrel. First engine I ever built.(and drag raced july 1966) then I had a 55 Dodge 2 dr hard top flatty six. Next buy was a 35 Dodge 4dr I drove for a couple if years. (bone stock) Then 64 Plymouth 2 dr post 313 car some my remember. Sold it to Mike Gordon in Napanee 1970. Then there was a 54 Dodge 1/2 ton. Wish I still had it! I bought a 56 Plymouth 4 dr 301 V8 and drove it till after I was married. Then I bought a 56 Dodge 1/2 ton. Next another 64 Plymouth Fury 2 dr Hardtop.
I replaced that with a 64 Dodge wagon with no motor and built a 383 four barrel for it. Was a great car and I had it for several years. May have done a wee bit of street racing with it ;>). A fellow wanted the 383 so traded me a dead 426 Street Hemi complete. I popped a used 440 in the wagon and sold it. Redoing the 426 and installing it in a 63 Dodge 2dr post. really I should have put the hemi in the 64 wagon but I was young and was due for a change. I drove the Dodge for a year then made it into a race car. It was the fastest car in Belleville at the time. About 3 tenth quicker than T Johnstons Entec prepped 70 Chevelle Big block. After racing it for a few years I put the drivetrain into a 69 Dart and ran it at Cayuga for several years. During this time I had several wagons a 70 Dodge , a 72 Plymouth and also a 71 Dodge step side I wish I still had. I ran the Power Tune Up business at the time. Next was a 81 Lebaron 2 dr hrdtp. Nice car! Drove a few beaters when I stated farming . A 76 Aspen Wagon, A 72 Chrysler 4 dr, a 74 Plymouth Fury and a 66 Dodge wagon 318 I put a 360 in. In 1990 I bought me a 1990 Dodge 318 half ton brand new. In 93 I made a deal for a V10 ram and wound up getting the VERY FIRST ONE EVER SOLD 26b...001. Just sold that to John Bailey after 20 years of proud trouble free ownership. Now all I have is my 63 Dodge 426 Max Wedge clone I built in 1999. I now have 42000 MILES on it since doing it. and of course my pride and joy, the Senior Dragster which is now too fast for me to drive anymore. That does not include the Mopars my wife has owned and there have been many. Over the years to date 348 Hi perf or race engines have left my shops About 1/2 I would think were Mopars.
Yup Mopar central here.
