I have a 1968 M22 10 in 27 out has a vin 28U166xxx stamped on it I know the 8 is for 1968 any idea about the 2 or the U ? trans code stamp is P8D04 thanks

I believe the 2 means its from a Pontiac and the U is the plant it was manufactured at (Lordstown, Ohio).
