Your lucky, when the EX & I were together, NO WAY would either of "her" grandkids [I never had kids] come anywhere near either of my cars, wouldn't even sit in them in the garage!!! Just ran out to "mommy'!!!!!!

I can only please one person a day, Today is not your day!!Tomorrow doesn't look good either !!!!
My girls were pretty good. They loved going to car shows with me. Even now when they phone home they ask how the car is coming....cant talk about it to long even on the phone I can feel their eyes rolling!
I always encouraged my kids and their friends to go to shows and cruise nights with me.
If I saw a kid showing interest in any of my cars , I usually told them to get in and check it out, usually to the shock of the parents but this hobby will die unless we get the kids interested.
I figure if something gets damaged, it can be repaired.
But I did teach my kids to respect the cars and they didn't put their fingers on other peoples cars.

If you want kids involved in the old car hobby don't treat them like lepers at car shows. My son is turning 20 today and he has been doing shows and cruises since he was old enough to open his eyes. I have heard so much crap from old car owners at most shows we used to go to that I DONT go to many any more. Some people are just plain rude and there is at least 1 in 10 at most shows that are total egotistical morons. I was told by some old fart that my lowrider bicycle should no be allowed at the show because it might scratch a car. It was siting on its kickstand displayed in front of MY car.

Good and bad story's here!. I find car guys to be the worst for touching other guys cars, sorry touchers......your brutal "PLEASE DONT TOUCH" doesn't apply. If your cars for sale look out, they'll have it flipped up side down checkin it over while your backs turned....sorry just had to get that off my chest! HRD
My daughter loves it when I pick her up or drop her off at school. Her friends say I have a "COOL" car. Most kids nudge their friends. A few have approached to ask about the car. Most kids these days don't want to be different, they have to keep up with the guy next door.
Lets see, my oldest at 33 has absolutely no interest in my car or any other car new or old.
My other daughter now 28, has no interest in my car but if she could have a 1969 Chevelle, she'd jump at the chance to own it.
My wife barely pokes her head in my garage, hates the smell of any chemicals I am using. Whether it be brake cleaner, stripper, even if I was just using pine-sol.
58Chev I should be legally dead according to my wife with all the fumes I've been breathing. I lock the doors when I'm "fumin" that way she cant come in and make all them noises! Mean while after her two hours in the bathroom with hair spray, nail polish and perfume, she should be layin on the floor!!! LOL.
