Don't know if it's changed lately, but it used to be if all you were hauling was your personal vehicle, you didn't need a sticker on truck, or trailer. Check with the MTO to verify.

You're going to need yellow stickers, that will be a real load on a 1/2 ton.
I have a similar trailer and my 3/4 ton with a 5.4 gas engine grunts pretty hard on the hills with a load inside.
Check the weight ratings on the truck and trailer
yup got the hitch, and air bags, and sway control, and new state of the art brake controller
trailer is booked for a safety and yellow sticker, and I just borrowed a friends one ton duramax to tow with for the Detroit run and it already has the yellow sticker
good to go!

My Silverado with the 5.3 pulls my 8.5 x 20 enclosed along pretty well. A diesel would be nicer but this works. Your truck is probably rated at 3000kg and the trailer at 4000kg. That is about 16000 lbs. Any combination over 10000 lbs. needs to be tagged. The rate at 7000 kg is about $325.00. You don't want to get stopped on the 401 or at the border. That can cost thousands. See you at the show.
trailer has 5200 lb axles under it and is 8.5 x 24' long
I will be getting the truck stickered, and have the ownership/weight increased to 4495 kg no matter what the cost is - as a tow home from anywhere, plus the fines could be thousands .
I will be using this truck to go to the Motorama show in March as well.
Then the trailer is for sale as I will not need it again.
getting to be a pretty expensive trip all told - but what price does one put on their life long dreams

Ya, but that's because it's a Ford.

Looks good but based on comments made by two other members on here, aren't you not supposed to be/not allowed to post pics of the finished product until after the Detroit show?
