On my 90 Silverado with the 5.7 tbi engine the fuel lines are held by a bracket I guess that's between the block and firewall. Any one here familiar with how I can remove the lines from this bracket? There just doesn't seem to be any room.

thks for your reply but that's not how my lines are attached. Mine has 2 solid lines that run between the back of the engine and the firewall to the fuel filter area under the cab. The 2 lines are fastened somehow behind the engine.

been a while since I worked on a chebby , but aren,t the two lines bolted to the back of the cylinder head ??. Or is it at a bell housing bolt . flex socket and long exstention. and some cursing should do it ..77.

I did some more googling and found that the 2 lines are bolted to a bell housing/tranny bolt...also it was noted what you suggested along with lots of cursing. sounds like a good time for an access panel in the firewall all under the carpet.....

trade it for a van then just remove the dog-house..
there ain't no easy way..Why are you removing them anyway...I have never seen a problem at that end of the lines the problem is usually way back near the tank and you can easily do a repair to the line..the jobbers sell a very good assortment od steel or plastic fuel lines and connectors and repair joints...I have a shop kit that we are always repairing and making fuel line connections for rusted out Ontario salt belt fuel lines..that is just a return line and line coming from the tank through the fuel pump so those two lines just run from there to fuel filter..then it's separated by the fuel filter..the other one is not high pressure it is just a return line..I have never had to replace that section of line unless it got damaged.. so just wondering why your trying to remove it..Carls posting is for Central port injection system with poppets not for a throttle body...
hey Fatchuk....I bought a fitting that mounts to the tbi so I can connect a guage to check the fuel pressure. I need some slack in the line. I could attach the fitting to the filter but then its out there in the salt etc

been a while since I worked on one of them..So I can't remember whether they had a test port but it I seem to recall they did not a..I will check that on my all-data when I get to shop this morning to see if I can find that out ,,I do recall many, many issues with pumps, sending units, relays , and bad wiring & electrical plugs with green death...I seem to recall them not having a test port ..but I honestly do not remember ..
